LOCAL SERVICES TAX 2022
YOUR LST TAX WILL BE TAKEN OUT STARTING IN PAYROLL PERIOD ENDING JANUARY 1, 2022.
IF YOU HAVE ANOTHER JOB WHERE THE LST IS TAKEN OUT YOU MUST FILL OUT AN EXEMPTION FORM and attach proof of that deduction from your other job. Exemption forms may be found at the bottom of this page.
Click on Human Resources at bottom of page
Click on Personnel tab at top of page
Click on LST Forms box
Print Local Tax Exemption form and fill out
Email it to email@example.com along with supporting documentation (copy of paystub from other job showing deduction or letter from employer)
If I do not have your exemption form by December 30th I will assume that you do not have the tax taken out and it will be deducted from your paycheck. Sorry, there will be no exceptions. If I do not have an exemption form by the above date I am required to deduct the LST.
Rates for 2022 are as follows:
$10.00 deducted the first pay of the year
Central Warehouse, Hazleton and Wilkes-Barre Stores:
$52.00 per year ($2.00 per payroll)
We are required to deduct this from your paycheck unless we have an exemption form (including proof that it is being taken out at another job) on file.
Central Warehouse, Hazleton, and Wilkes-Barre Stores Only:
Employees earning less than $12,000 for the year:
Exemptions apply to the $52.00 tax for employees who will earn less than $12,000 in 2022. Please follow the above instructions for printing out the LST exemption form.
