Country Junction’s main store, Lehighton, was founded in 1984 as “The Service Team” 1997- changed name to Country Junction “World’s Largest General Store”. At this time a temporary 20,000 square foot "four seasons" tent houses, pet products, seasonal, lawn & garden products and toys. | |
Imagine a company that adds something new every time a customer asks for it. That’s basically how we, a company called The Service Team, became Country Junction, “World’s Largest General Store”.
We started out installing insulation. Then our customers began asking us for hardware, so we added hardware and became a home center. The customers started asking us for lawn and garden items, so we added a barn and began to sell lawn and garden products. Then, we added small gifts and home décor items.
We changed our name because our customers were telling us that we had everything under the sun for their homes; we added a furniture line, and bigger home accessories.
We’re are currently utilizing the 20,000 tent with pet products, seasonal, lawn & garden, and toys along with an adjoining barn with gifts, home accessories, jewelry, flowers and a deli. Gourmet coffee is stationed on the parking lot for quick pick up.
The full-size FREE Petting Farm which houses the ducks, goats, chickens, sheep and llamas and alpacas is being renovated. Due to the inclimate weather and while we rebuild, the animals have been relocated and will return in the spring.
We are an “Ashley Furniture Home Store” featuring beautiful and affordable furniture, upholstery, and home accents. You’ll find everything you need to furnish and decorate your home, from carpet to framed art. We were forced to move all Ashley Furniture Sales to our stores in Wind Gap, Hazleton, Wilkes-Barre and Quakertown.
The Service Team Installation Experts are now located on Forest Inn Rd., 3 miles from the main store on Rt. 209. They will completely install kitchens & baths, decks, siding & gutter, garages and garage doors, roofing, insulation, landscaping, fencing, general construction and more.
The rebuilding of a new Country Junction is under review right now. We know the publics' desire for a speedy rebuild is considerable and hopefully they will see something materialize in the spring.
Country Junction, Lehighton, is home to a wide variety of special events, most notably Free Easter Egg Hunts and The Great Pocono Pumpkin Festival, the Pocono’s largest Pumpkin Festival.
